Psychology is for people of all ages who are experiencing psychological difficulties. Through an in-depth understanding of human behaviour, emotions and mental health, the psychologist is able to establish and implement the best ways to help you bring about meaningful changes in your life.
Why consult a psychologist?
As part of your rehabilitation program, your rehabilitation counselor may refer you to psychology.
The role of the psychologist is to assess the mental health of a person, to establish an intervention plan to help him and to accompany him in the realization of this plan. You could seek consultation for a mental health problem, a physical health condition that affects you, a work stoppage, an accident or any other problem that causes psychological suffering.
Sometimes living with temporary or chronic pain related to a physical health problem creates psychological difficulties. The psychologist can become an important ally in a treatment and rehabilitation plan, working together with a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, acupuncturist or others to help you regain overall well-being.
