Who to consult?

Physiotherapy after a work accident (CNESST)

Choose the right professional for you based on your health issues.

Physiotherapy follow-ups are often recommended by doctors following a work-related accident. Physiotherapy interventions aim to help you manage your pain symptoms and regain your physical abilities as they were before the incident. This approach is frequently used in collaboration with a physician and is intended for anyone who has suffered a work-related injury.

How does sessions work?

  1. The first session consists of a complete assessment of your condition. The physiotherapist will analyze your pain and limitations to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your recovery goals and facilitates your return to work.
  2. Subsequent sessions will include a targeted exercise program to improve mobility, muscle strength, endurance, and pain management. Follow-up sessions are typically held three times a week and last 30 minutes. Sessions can be individual or activation-based, in a small group with another patient.
  3. As your return to work approaches, a progressive reintegration plan is developed with the treatment team. A home exercise program may also be provided at the end of your treatments to help you maintain progress independently.
